Hegarty Exceeds Fundraising Target to Support Pepper's- A Safe Place
To celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024, Hegarty committed to a year of giving back, aiming to complete 50 fundraising and community initiatives. The goal was to raise £10,000 for local charities, including Pepper’s A Safe Place, by December.
By July, Hegarty surpassed this target, raising over £11,000 - months ahead of schedule. The firm’s commitment to mental health and community support was highlighted through its hands-on involvement with Pepper’s. Volunteers from Hegarty spent time at Pepper’s A Safe Place, helping to refresh our space with painting and cleaning, ensuring it remains a welcoming and supportive environment for those in need of mental health and wellbeing support.
In addition to its work with us, Hegarty also supported various local causes, including food donations to the Peterborough Soup Kitchen and sponsorships of community events like the Peterborough Celebrates Festival. The firm’s fundraising efforts also included challenging events such as a virtual cycle challenge, where the team cycled 150 miles in one day, and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Both helped raise significant funds for Pepper’s and other local charities.
Hegarty’s efforts aren’t slowing down, with plans to continue supporting community initiatives for the remainder of the year. From volunteering and fundraising to event sponsorships, the firm’s dedication to Pepper’s A Safe Place and other local causes demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing in the community.
