Severn Trent Community Fund has awarded us £20,000 to keep vital services running.

The funding will help cover running costs throughout 2026, ensuring that our small charity can continue delivering key services. Unlike project-based grants, core funding provides stability for charities, allowing them to focus on what matters most—supporting their communities.

Severn Trent is supporting local charities and community group with over £20 million in the ten years from 2020 - helping to make a real and tangible difference to the wellbeing in our communities. The Community Fund is overseen by an independent panel, made up of Severn Trent customers, who review applications and make the final decisions on where the money will go.

Severn Trent Community Fund have two available funds; new project funding and core funding. Both are online applications with set criteria. All eligibility criteria, Fund aims and full application guidance for each can be found on their webpage here.

We have two bases, one in Melton Mowbray, and one in Oakham. They have been serving the community since 2018, offering safe, welcoming hubs where locals can feel heard and connected with others, whilst looking after their mental health.

We run a wide range of free activities including, chair fitness, crafts, walks, men's groups, meditation, tai chi and music. Alongside these the centre offers social drop-in sessions, a chance for locals to talk with volunteers or peers, relax with a cup of tea and escape daily stresses.

The centres aim to combat isolation, develop long term mental health resilience, grow support networks and build confidence. Attendees can benefit from the consistency, warmth and stability offered.
